An Atlanta Burger Competition with Big Benefits

There’s a burger competition coming up in Atlanta with a charitable cause, big benefits, and a mouthwatering way that you can be a part of it.

I have yet to see either a food competition or charitable event designed quite this way. Find out more below.

The Burger Benefit for Giving Kitchen takes place on Sunday, September 22nd from 11am to 8pm at NFA Burger in Dunwoody. Chefs from around Atlanta and beyond will submit their entries to compete for the coveted Burger Benefit best burger.

All proceeds from the contest go to Giving Kitchen, a non-profit providing emergency assistance to food service workers through financial support and a network of community resources. In other words, they help individuals and families get through tough times with a focus on those that work in the food service industry. Working in this field can be one of the toughest jobs out there with long hours and grueling work environments. Giving Kitchen helps.

Beginning at 11am on September 22nd, up to four burger masters will command a grill for 90 minutes, preparing their signature recipes. Guests are invited to purchase tickets for a select time slot in advance, before anyone – the purchaser or the chef – knows which chef will be assigned to which time slot. The chefs will be provided a random time slot the day before the event, creating a fun and exciting surprise for which burger guests get to enjoy!
