Cherokee County Goodwill Store Reopens After Renovations

Goodwill of North Georgia celebrated the grand reopening of its Bells Ferry Road store in Cherokee County June 26 after undergoing internal renovations.

The Bells Ferry store and donation center, located at 6719 Bells Ferry Road near Woodstock, opened in 2014.

Renovations to the store began May 6 and were completed June 24, as part of Goodwill of North Georgia’s Refresh, Reset and Refocus initiative.

Dell McKinney, chief operating officer of Goodwill of North Georgia, said the changes included “in-store marketing, new graphics, bright lighting, and fresh paint in a new color scheme. The sales floors and backroom spaces were rearranged to make better use of the space, a wider variety of new goods was added, fixtures were upgraded, and the break space for team members was refreshed.”

“Throughout the renovation, we made a conscious effort to ensure that our guests experienced minimal disruptions to their shopping experience,” he added. “Our focus was on upholding a tidy and organized shopping environment while minimizing distractions, to provide a pleasant experience for our valued guests.”
