‘We’re relieved:’ Sister of nightclub shooting victim supports decision to close club permanently

The sister of a college student who was shot and killed in the crossfire of a nightclub shooting welcomed a Fulton County Superior Court judge’s ruling that the Elleven45 Lounge on Peachtree Street must close immediately and permanently.

Channel 2 Action News was in court when the decision came down Friday.

“I was very happy the judge ruled in favor of the city of Atlanta. It’s not going to bring my sister back, but it’s one step closer to getting justice for her,” Tiffany Eason told Channel 2′s Tom Regan .

Eason’s sister, 21-year-old Mari Creighton was at the nightclub Mother’s Day weekend with Eason’s daughter and others.

A mass shooting erupted , leaving Creighton and another person dead.

Four others were wounded including Eason’s daughter . She is still recovering.
