One Dead after Friday Morning Crash on I-75

A Fulton County man was killed after being hit by a tractor-trailer on I-75 North Friday morning.

According to Marietta Police Public Information Officer Chuck McPhilamy, 61-year-old Rodrigue Joseph was pronounced dead at the hospital Friday morning.

Joseph, who was driving a Nissan Frontier, was struck by a tractor-trailer that had ricocheted off of a Hyundai. Moments before, the Hyundai lost control, hit the median wall and came to a stop in the middle of the freeway.

“The tractor-trailer then struck a Nissan Frontier,” McPhilamy said.

McPhilamy said the driver of the tractor-trailer was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Hyundai did not report any injuries.
