Kaleb McGary may be inactive, but that’s a good sign for the Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons announced their inactives list ahead of their week 4 matchup against the hated New Orleans Saints in their 2024 NFC South Debut. Most of the names stayed the same, but one name stood out: Right tackle Kaleb McGary . While he is inactive for this week, the fact that he is on the active roster is a positive sign going forward.

Most of these names aren’t surprises, we haven’t seen rookies McClellan, Dorlus or Orhorhoro active yet in a regular season game, but McGary being the new addition is a bummer and a significant sign for the future.

McGary left with an apparent knee injury in the Falcons week two loss against the Kansas City Chiefs , and given the amount of time he was on the ground, a long-term injury wouldn’t have been out of the question. Luckily, McGary escaped the long-term injury bug and was actually a limited participant in practice leading up to the game.
