One in Custody After Man Stabbed in Marietta

One person is in custody after police say a man was stabbed around 3:45 p.m. in Marietta Monday.

Marietta Police Public Information Officer Chuck McPhilamy said a male suspect chased the male victim to the area between a Wells Fargo bank and Texaco gas station on Roswell Street.

The victim sustained several wounds, and was transported to the hospital “conscious, alert and breathing,” according to McPhilamy.

Police have one person of interest in custody, McPhilamy said, but he was unable to confirm if that person is the suspect.

No identifying information about the suspect or victim has been released.
