Austell Man Accused of Burglarizing Health Practice

Kasime Antoine Joseph Davenport, 32, of Austell, is accused of breaking into Sophoroneo Behavioral Health, at 4170 Old Austell Road in Powder Springs, on Dec. 8 at 11:30 p.m., according to an arrest warrant from the Powder Springs Police Department.

Davenport was observed on video surveillance entering through a rear door, walking through rooms and taking a black Puma backpack containing miscellaneous papers and books from one of the offices. Davenport then left through the front door. When located by police at the BP gas station at 3930 Austell-Powder Springs Road in Powder Springs, Davenport had a pink zip lock bag in his front left pocket containing about 1.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine, according to the warrant.

Davenport is charged with burglary – second degree; and possession of methamphetamine. He was arrested on Dec. 9 at 12:30 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records.

Davenport remains in custody without bond.
