Despite the Philadelphia 76ers’ tough loss to the Atlanta Hawks in Game 5 of the 2021 second-round series , most of the criticism aimed at their superstar Joel Embiid actually stemmed from off-court issues.
The main voice of this criticism came from Charles Barkley , who, during an episode of ” Inside the NBA ,” took aim at Embiid. Chuck’s issue? The reigning All-Star center avoided speaking to the press after the abovementioned loss.
“If you have a great game, you run to the microphone. I don’t like it when any player in any sport does this; you should always talk to the press,” remarked Barkley.
