Kennesaw Man Accused of DUI and Threatening Cops

John Todd Harlacher, 52, of Kennesaw, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol while driving a white 2019 Volkswagen GTI on Feb. 7 at 9:28 p.m. at the intersection of Jiles Road and Cobb Parkway in Kennesaw, according to an arrest warrant from the Kennesaw Police Department.

Officers received multiple calls about Harlacher being under the influence and driving erratically on the roadway. He was tracked to the drive thru of the Dairy Queen at 2561 Summers Street in Kennesaw, according to the warrant.

An officer made contact with Harlacher and detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, he was slurring his speech and slow to respond to commands and questions. Once Harlacher exited the vehicle, he almost fell on the officer and was continuously unsteady on his feet for the remainder of the investigation. Harlacher told the officer he consumed one shot of vodka approximately three hours earlier and agreed to participate in Standardized Field Sobriety Test evaluations, which found him to be impaired.
