MARIETTA, Ga. — A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a person accused of abandoning a severely malnourished puppy in freezing temperatures in Cobb County.
According to investigators, a Good Samaritan brought the puppy to Cobb County Animal Services on Feb. 22 after finding it the day before in a metal cage near a home on Forest Lane SE in Marietta. Surveillance video captured an unidentified man leaving the dog behind in temperatures as low as 30 degrees. The cage had no food, water or bedding.
Animal services conducted an examination and determined the mixed-breed puppy, which resembles a labradoodle, was extremely emaciated. The dog’s ribs, spine, and pelvic bones were clearly visible, with no body fat and significant muscle loss…
