During a homicide investigation in Cobb County, a dog found in poor condition was adopted by a local police department employee. The dog, now named Ruby, was initially discovered by officers from the Cobb County Police Department’s Violent Incident Prevention and Early Response (VIPER) Unit while they were serving a search warrant, according to Atlanta News First.
After the discovery, Ruby was taken into the care of Animal Control. Her situation changed when a criminal intelligence analyst from Cobb County chose to adopt her.
