Austell Pair Charged with Shoplifting Electronics from Walmart

William Thomas Carter-King, 23, and Gabriella Mae Strother, 20, both of Austell, are accused of shoplifting with three other individuals on Dec. 11, 2024 at 6 p.m. at the Walmart Supercenter, 3105 Cobb Parkway in Kennesaw, according to an arrest warrant from the Acworth Police Department.

Each individual was carrying a bag inside the store. Carter-King and Strother were observed on video footage in the electronics area of the store and selected electronics. They were then observed removing the electronic security devices from the boxes, removing the item from the box and then concealing the item in their bags before leaving the store. Carter-King is accused of stealing $406 in merchandise and Strother is accused of stealing $595 in merchandise, according to the warrants.

Carter-King and Strother are charged with theft by shoplifting – greater than $500. They were arrested on March 19 at 7:40 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records…
