Woman believes skull found in Gwinnett County belongs to her father who was killed in 1992

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — There may be potential break in one of Georgia’s oldest murder cases where authorities never discovered the victim’s body. It’s been more than three decades since George Fininis, 60, was killed in his Snellville home.

Fininis was retired from the trucking industry. In April of 1992 when he didn’t show up to his ex-wife’s house where had been working on her vehicle, she became worried. Gwinnett County Police were notified in the days following and discovered Fininis was the the victim of a gruesome crime.

A human skull found on Feb. 10 of this year by construction workers off Duluth Highway and State Route 316 has led an Illinois woman to believe her father’s remains may have finally been found — 33 years after he was killed…
