Chad Allen Arnold, 37, of Albany, is accused of entering the Circle K gas station at 1230 Cobb Parkway N. in Marietta with a rifle with the intent to rob the business. He then fired six rounds in the direction of a victim as they were running to hide on May 26 at 7:11 p.m., according to an arrest warrant from the Marietta Police Department.
Arnold was seen on security footage entering the business and based on witness statements fired several shots at the victim. Arnold is not supposed to possess a firearm since he was convicted in 2022 in Cobb County Superior Court on auto felony charges. Arnold also had a glass smoking pipe with suspected methamphetamine residue when taken into custody, according to the warrant.
Arnold is charged with aggravated assault – intent to rob; possession of firearm during the commission of a crime; possession firearm felon Georgia; and possession of methamphetamine. He was arrested on May 27 at 4:45 a.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records…
