Cherokee County leaders have voiced opposition to a developer’s request to annex property in Hickory Flat into Holly Springs to build a mixed-use development that would include 92 townhomes.
On June 3, the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners unanimously voted to object to a proposal from Garrard Development, Inc. to annex about 20.11 acres into Holly Springs and rezone the property from neighborhood commercial and general agriculture (county) to traditional neighborhood development and mixed-use development (city).
