ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A few months after filing for bankruptcy, Hooters is closing dozens of restaurants across the country — including some in Georgia.
At least four locations across the state have permanently shut down in this recent round of closures. Those include:
- 209 Peachtree Road NE in Atlanta
- 3550 Gwinnett Pl. Dr. NW in Duluth
- 6855 Douglas Blvd. in Douglasville
- 1854 Club House Drive in Valdosta
The Downtown Atlanta Hooters, a popular spot for tourists in the heart of the hotel district, had been in business since 2002.
In a statement sent to USA Today, the company said the stores targeted for closure were owned by the corporation. The restaurant’s future plan is for all locations to be franchised…
