Two Suspects Arrested in Connection with Fatal Dawson Boulevard Shooting in Gwinnett County

Two suspects are now in custody in connection with a fatal shooting on Dawson Boulevard, as authorities continue piecing together the events of that tragic night. According to a press release from Gwinnett County, 33-year-old Dametris Bush and 28-year-old Jaharri Foster face serious charges, including malice murder and aggravated assault.

In the evening hours of June 17, officers responded to a shooting at 6187 Dawson Blvd, encountering a male victim with a gunshot wound to the chest who later died at a local hospital and a female who had been shot in the leg, was injured, but her involvement in the initial altercation is not clear; detectives have been active at the scene and in the community seeking a motive and following leads, per the official statement from Gwinnett County. The deceased has been identified as 29-year-old Andre Jones of Norcross, with notification given to his next-of-kin.
