A man found guilty of fatally shooting the mother of his child appeared to spit at the prosecution team amid his sentencing in a DeKalb County, Ga., courtroom.

On Wednesday, July 2, Taco Nash was convicted in a jury trial of chasing Mi’ckeya Montgomery into their child’s daycare before using a gun to force her into a wooded area, where she was shot while holding their baby, according to the Office of the DeKalb County District Attorney.

DeKalb County Superior Court Judge Brian Lake, who presided over the trial, sentenced Nash, 25, to life without the possibility of parole, followed by two additional life sentences and 60 years to serve, per the county district attorney…
