Commissioners threaten lawsuit to stop Hickory Flat annexation

The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners could take legal action against the city of Holly Springs if the city council approves an annexation in Hickory Flat in August.

On July 29, the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a resolution urging the Holly Springs City Council to deny Garrard Development, Inc.’s request to annex about 20 acres at the corner of Lower Union Hill Road and East Cherokee Drive.
