Milton to conduct second millage rate hearing

MILTON, Ga. — The Milton City Council will meet Aug. 4 to begin the millage rate adoption process.

The meeting comes after the first millage rate hearing, which took place at 9 a.m. on Aug. 4. No public comment was made at the hearing.

Deputy City Manager Bernadette Harvill will present the city’s tentative property tax rate of 4.193 mills, a decrease from last year’s rate of 4.389 mills. The tentative rate can be lowered during the series of public hearings held in early August…
