Man sentenced to 30 to 50 years for stabbing girlfriend, Cherokee County district attorney says

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A man has been sentenced to 30 to 50 years for stabbing his girlfriend, according to the Cherokee County district attorney.

The district attorney said Juan Jose Alfaro-Gonzalez stabbed his girlfriend in their Ball Ground home on Dec. 30, 2024. He also reportedly tried to kill himself, but survived.

According to the district attorney, a witness tried to stop the assault, but Alfaro-Gonzalez swung at him. The woman received 16 stab wounds, but survived. She is still recovering…
