MONTICELLO, Ind. — Talk about a ruff start with a paw-sitive twist.
A rescue dog named Boy, once facing euthanasia in a Georgia shelter, is now sniffing out a new career — as a police K-9 in Iowa.
Boy was pulled from a kill shelter in Gwinnett County and made the journey north in April. Now, he’s with the Monticello Police Department, where he’s being prepped for K-9 training that could have him working in narcotics detection and helping find missing people…
