Couple Sentenced to 15 Years for Shooting into Car of Ex-Girlfriend’s Brother

A Lawrenceville couple will serve 15 years in prison for shooting into the vehicle of the brother of an ex-girlfriend in September 2021.

Elijah Malik Hyams, 32, and Kyla Aolani Milling, 32, were found guilty of two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of terroristic threats, first-degree and second-degree felony criminal damage to property, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

The incident occurred on September 7, 2021, when Hyams and Milling arrived at the Lawrenceville home of Hyams’ ex-girlfriend. Shots were fired into a car parked in front of the house, where her brother and his girlfriend were sitting. The gunfire shattered the rear window, struck the brother’s phone, and hit the front windshield. Neither occupant was injured…
