COBB COUNTY, GA — Two Georgia men wanted for the 2024 murder of Curtis Coleman have been arrested in Pennsylvania, according to law enforcement officials.
U.S. Marshals took 21-year-old Jayden M. Hooks and 23-year-old Malik Drake into custody without incident. Both are facing felony charges of murder and aggravated assault following a months-long investigation by the Cobb County Police Department.
Murder Investigation Dates Back to March 2024
The charges stem from a deadly incident on March 21, 2024, when Cobb County Police responded to a distress call reporting an injured person inside a vehicle at the Extended Stay America on Powers Ferry Road.
Upon arrival, officers found 43-year-old Curtis Coleman dead from a gunshot wound inside the vehicle. Authorities quickly launched a homicide investigation that led to the identification of Hooks and Drake as suspects.
Suspects Await Extradition to Georgia
