Investigators with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office are investigating the disappearance of a local resident who was last seen two days ago.
Daniel Johnson, a 60-year-old male resident of the Macedonia community in Cherokee County, was last seen around 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20th, at his residence in the Hampton Station subdivision off Highway 20, the sheriff’s office reports.
At this time, Johnson’s vehicle and cell phone were found at the home. He is known to take long hikes, and search efforts have included drones and K-9 units searching the wooded areas surrounding his home, but he remains missing…
