Local teen crowned Miss Northeast Georgia’s Teen

Maggie Miller was crowned Miss Northeast Georgia’s Teen Saturday night at the Sylvia Beard Theatre in Buford. She will compete for the title of Miss Georgia’s Teen in Columbus June 17-20th. Maggie is the 13-year-old daughter of Joey and Jessica Miller of Iron City. She is an eighth grade honor student at Grace Christian Academy.

Maggie aspires to attend the University of Georgia and become a veterinarian. She is dedicated to her community service initiative #Give Life-American Red Cross – education and awareness on the importance of blood donation. Maggie performed a tap dance to the hit song “Survivor” for her talent.

The judging for Saturday’s competition included a 10-minute private interview with the judges (30%); On Stage Conversation (10%); Talent (20%); Lifestyle and Fitness (20%); and Evening Wear (20%).
