The Gwinnett County community breathed a collective sigh of relief as Marcus Thornton, the 21-year-old man from Norcross reported missing several days ago, was found safe. The initial call to action for public assistance in the search was issued after Thornton’s family reported him missing last Thursday. He had last been seen in the vicinity of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and Miller Drive, as per the Gwinnett County Police Department’s request for help.
Thornton, before being safely located, was described as a black male, standing five feet five inches tall and weighing around 140 pounds. His distinctive features include nose, ear, and lip piercings. When last seen, he was wearing a black scarf, a black short-sleeve collared shirt, paired with black tights and black Crocs.
