A tragic blaze in Smyrna, which claimed the life of a woman early Wednesday morning, is being investigated as a homicide. Fire crews were dispatched at approximately 4:15 a.m. to an apartment at 810 Windy Hill Road SE, where they discovered the body of 32-year-old Mary Olivia Matthews, as reported by FOX 5 Atlanta. The Smyrna Police Department is now treating the case as a homicide after the initial suspicion of the circumstances surrounding Matthews’ death.
