UPDATE: Lockheed secure status over

UPDATE: Principal Tricia Patterson said the secure status has now been lifted, and the individual has been cleared from campus. At no time were students or staff in danger, and school activities continued without interruption.

At approximately 12:20 p.m. today, an individual was observed on the Lockheed Elementary campus outside the school building. Principal Tricia Patterson said while the person did not attempt to enter the building, their behavior raised concern. An employee promptly alerted the Marietta Police Department officer already on site.

“Out of an abundance of caution, Lockheed Elementary was placed on ‘secure’ status,” Patterson said. “This means all exterior doors were locked, and no one was permitted to enter the building. Students and staff have remained safe, and school activities have continued without interruption.”…
