Smyrna man convicted of murder, drug trafficking

A Cobb jury found a Smyrna man guilty of murder and drug trafficking charges in connection to the fatal shooting of a Marietta man in April 2024.

Bobby Pegues — also known as Bobby Porter — 41, was convicted of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon during a crime and trafficking cocaine, according to Cobb District Attorney Sonya Allen.

His sentencing from Superior Court Judge Henry Thompson will take place at a later date…
