‘Brightness didn’t last:’ Victim shares emotional statement, teen driver in deadly crash sentenced

The teenage driver in a multiple-fatality crash in Cherokee County took a plea deal and was sentenced on Tuesday.

Oliver Luis Roman was 17 in January 2024 when he crashed into a Mazda with five people inside while driving on Towne Lake Parkway.
