Albany, GA – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Southwestern Regional Drug Enforcement Office (SWRDEO) has arrested multiple individuals in a major conspiracy to traffic cocaine across Sumter, Webster, and Dougherty counties. The 10-month investigation led to the seizure of approximately 17 kilograms of suspected cocaine and 10 firearms.
The operation culminated on Friday, October 10, 2025, with coordinated execution of search warrants across Fulton, Henry, Sumter, Webster, and Dougherty Counties. Based on evidence gathered during the investigation, arrest warrants were obtained, and the following individuals were taken into custody:
- Maurice Antwan Young, 42, of Preston, GA – Conspiracy to Traffic Cocaine
- Mario Lanorris Robinson, 47, of Fulton County, GA – Conspiracy to Traffic Cocaine
- Alvin Paige, 56, of Richland, GA – Conspiracy to Traffic Cocaine
- Clinton Terran Thomas, 46, of Albany, GA – Conspiracy to Traffic Cocaine
- Derrick Flowers, 40, of Americus, GA – Conspiracy to Traffic Cocaine
- Calvin Jerome Smith, 42, of Americus, GA – Conspiracy to Traffic Cocaine
- Jalen Lewis, 22, of Albany, GA – Trafficking Cocaine
- John Johnson, 48, of Buena Vista, GA – Possession of Cocaine
Young, Robinson, Thomas, Flowers, Smith, Lewis, and Johnson were booked into the Sumter County Jail, while Paige was booked into the Schley County Jail. Additional arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
This operation was successful due to the collaboration of multiple agencies, including the SWRDEO, GBI’s Regional Investigative Office in Americus, Webster County Sheriff’s Office, Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Americus Police Department, Albany-Dougherty Special Investigations Units, Georgia Department of Public Safety, Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Georgia Department of Corrections, and the FBI…
