Child hit by car in Newnan, airlifted to hospital, police say

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A child was airlifted to an Atlanta hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Newnan on Sunday, according to police.

Around 2:30 p.m., Newnan police said they responded to a pedestrian hit by a car on Roberts Road, near the popular LINC biking and walking trail.

A spokesperson for the city said an 11-year-old boy was hit. He was flown by helicopter to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta with serious injuries…
