Chip Allen wants to bring the food traditions he grew up with on the Carolina coast to downtown Woodstock.
The owner of JD’s Bar-B-Que restaurants in Acworth and Woodstock and JD’s On The Lake in Canton is planning an Oct. 29 opening for JD’s On Main at 8634 Main St. The site was the former location of Jekyll Brewing.
“Growing up there on the coast, every low country seafood place had barbecue, and every barbecue place had low country seafood,” Allen explains. “So the menu here will be sort of a blending of what I grew up eating and cooking in the Carolinas.”…
