A new hospital, MARTA expansion, affordable housing: Inside Dickens’ $5B Atlanta neighborhoods plan

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens has bold dreams for Atlanta, and now, the details of a $5 billion initiative show major investments in housing, transportation, and healthcare projects.

The project list, which Atlanta News First acquired on Thursday, includes more than $2.3 billion for transit expansion, roughly $1.4 billion for trails and parks, $1.2 billion for housing, and roughly $265 million for healthcare projects.
