DeKalb County Police Department reported to FOX 5 Atlanta that a pedestrian, a man in his early 40s, was fatally struck near Lawrenceville Highway and Hollywood Lane early yesterday morning. The exact time of the incident remains unclear, though it was first reported around 7:30 a.m., and police confirmed the death by 8:30 a.m.

In a similar vein, Gwinnett County Police are now urging the public to possibly help illuminate details of another hit-and-run. According to information provided by 11Alive, on October 6, a pedestrian was hit on Athens Highway, between Cooper Road and Rosebud Road, at approximately 10:50 p.m. Although the driver responsible for the death has been charged, investigators believe the victim was left on the road for some time and may have been hit by multiple other vehicles.
