Marietta police are investigating a crash that left an 18-year-old critically injured after being hit by a truck while riding a motorized scooter during rush hour.
It happened just before 5 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Cobb Parkway and Windy Hill Road. Investigators say the teen was riding against traffic, heading southbound in the northbound lanes of Cobb Parkway, when he attempted to turn and crossed into the southbound lanes.
