Man sentenced to life without parole for shooting 2 teenage girls, killing 1

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. — A man will serve the rest of his life in prison without parole for a 2023 shooting that left a teenage girl dead and another injured, according to the DeKalb County District Attorney’s office.

Investigations show that on Jan 2, 2023, around 5 p.m., DeKalb County police officers responded to calls of a person shot at a residence near the 500 block of Arbor Ridge Drive. When they arrived, they found two teenage girls with gunshot wounds.

Officers say 19-year-old Jayce Pirtle was pronounced dead at the scene due to a gunshot wound to the head. Police also found a 16-year-old and took her to the hospital. She survived her injuries…
