MARIETTA- Students in the Marietta school system, dozens of officers, volunteers and Santa Claus himself went shopping during Marietta Police Department’s annual Shop With a Cop event this week.
Sixty elementary school students were invited on a shopping spree at the Walmart near the Big Chicken, chaperoned by a police officer, public safety official or volunteer.
Marietta teachers and administrators nominated each student based on need, and each child was given $250 to spend on gifts…
