Local DeMolay chapter attends the Greater Atlanta Knights Templar Christmas observance

On Dec. 14, the Samuel S. Lawrence Chapter Order of DeMolay in Marietta attended the Greater Atlanta Knights Templar Christmas observance held at the meeting place of Constantine Commandery at Kennesaw Lodge No. 33 in Marietta.

The members and Sir Knights of the Order of the Knights Templars began the Christmas observance at 2 p.m. Five commanderies of Greater Atlanta were represented, which were as follows: Constantine Commandery No. 26, DeKalb Commandery No. 38, Douglasville Commandery No. 40, Cour de Lion Commandery No. 4 and Atlanta Commandery No. 9.

The observance is an open ceremony in which Jesus Christ is saluted and toasted to. It started with an Invocation, which was given by Sir Knight Lyle Chadwick, followed by the Prologue, which was given by Eminent Sir Knight John E. Finch Jr. All sections were verses from the Bible and are highly respected. Next, the Word was received, which was given by Eminent Sir Knight Stephen C. Kimbro, followed by the Promise, which was given by Eminent Sir Knight Carl Ward, which is that Jesus will return for his people and save them. The Fulfillment was then given by Eminent Sir Knight Nathan L. Mason, along with the Seal given by Eminent Sir Knight William Vincent.
