‘We are all he knows’: Man’s beloved dog stolen during car break-in at Lithonia Kroger, shot at trying to rescue him

LITHONIA, Ga. — A DeKalb County man is asking for the public’s help after his dog was stolen during a car break-in outside a Kroger in Lithonia.

Gerald, who asked that only his first name be used due to safety concerns, said the theft happened Tuesday night outside the grocery store on Covington Highway.

He said he had just dropped a friend off at the airport and stopped at the store around 9:50 p.m. to grab a few items…
