Forsyth County, Georgia – A former Forsyth County middle school teacher has resigned from her position after being arrested on multiple drug-related charges following an incident in a grocery store parking lot, according to local authorities.
Police say the arrest occurred on March 22 at a Kroger store located along Jesse Jewell Parkway, where an off-duty Hall County deputy observed suspicious activity inside a parked vehicle.
Incident Reported in Kroger Parking Lot
According to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, an off-duty deputy noticed two individuals inside a vehicle allegedly using illegal drugs in the store’s parking lot. The deputy contacted on-duty officers, who responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.
The individuals were identified as Alisen Nicole Mooney, 27, and her friend Robert Tyler McClain, also 27.
Drugs and Paraphernalia Found During Search
Deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and reported finding multiple controlled substances and drug-related items, including:
- Oxycodone pills
- Buprenorphine pills
- Tramadol pills
- Half of a tizanidine pill
- Two rolled-up dollar bills
- An empty package of Suboxone, a medication commonly used to treat opioid dependence
Authorities said the rolled currency was consistent with drug use, and the combination of substances raised concerns during the investigation.
Charges Filed Against Both Individuals
Following the search, Mooney was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of amphetamine with intent to distribute
- Possession of oxycodone
- Two counts of possession of controlled substances
- Possession of drug-related objects
McClain was charged separately with:
- Possession of amphetamine
- Possession of drug-related objects
Both arrests were confirmed by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
