CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — A man was arrested after “intentionally” setting fire to a commercial building on Christmas Day in Cherokee County.
Cherokee County Fire said firefighters were called to a structure fire on Marietta Road at around 3:15 p.m. on Dec. 25.
When they arrived, crews observed smoke coming from the roof and an active fire inside when they arrived at the scene, according to the fire department. They quickly began working to extinguish the flames and search for any occupants inside.
Once the fire was under control, fire officials said firefighters conducted a more thorough search inside but found no one. Warrants state it took crews nearly four hours to douse the flames. No other injuries were reported…
