Superintendent Davis Shares State of the School District Address with Business Community

“We have a team that doesn’t focus on the limitations, we focus on the possibilities,” Superintendent Mary Elizabeth Davis told a crowd of nearly 400 elected officials and economic development and business leaders at the Council for Quality Growth’s “State of the County” luncheon event today. Dr. Davis highlighted CCSD’s recent successes as well as the work underway to ensure students are learning more, growing more and achieving more in CCSD schools than they could anywhere else.

Superintendent Davis outlined the achievements of the district, including the recent release of historically high CCRPI accountability results, and framed that success against the backdrop of CCSD’s unmatched fiscal responsibility and recent legislative request to self-impose a cap on property tax evaluations.

“I want you to join me in being so proud of our teachers, our support professionals, our leaders and our School Board for the results they are achieving with the value of your community investment,” Superintendent Davis said. “The health of this community is directly dependent on the health and success of our school system.”…
