The Cumming Police Department reported two separate roadway accidents involving the agency’s patrol cars Saturday due to icy road conditions in the area.
The department shared via social media Saturday that the first accident occurred Saturday morning when officers were responding to a weather related accident. During their response, another vehicle lost control and struck the passenger door on the driver’s side of the patrol car.
A second collision occurred later in the day, with photos showing the back of the patrol car with extensive damage.
