A Lawrenceville woman was charged with hit and run after she allegedly backed into a vehicle at McDonald’s then fled the scene, according to a report from the Douglas Police Department.
The report says that on January 25, 2026, at approximately 5 p.m., a white Dodge Charger driven by Avionna Carson, 20, of Lawrenceville, backed into a black Ford Edge driven by Brandon Williams, 31, of Douglas. After hitting the Edge, Carson left the scene and Williams followed her, according to the report. Williams lost the Charger near the farmers’ market on South Gaskin Avenue.
Officers located the Charger and spoke with Carson, who said initially said that Williams backed into her, according to the report. There was white paint on the Edge at the point of impact. Carson said that she left the scene because she was scared and didn’t know what to do, the report says…
