A Cherokee County man has been sentenced to the maximum term allowed by law following his conviction on multiple drug-related charges.
According to District Attorney Summer Summerford, Circuit Judge Andrew Hairston sentenced Johnathan Butler to 104 months in prison for unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Butler also received 12 months for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and an additional 12 months for possession of marijuana in the second degree. The sentences are to run consecutively.
