Gwinnett County authorities arrested a man wanted in connection with a shoplifting and assault case out of Norcross.
The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement Tuesday, Feb. 10, saying Tony Demps, age 45, was wanted in connection with a shoplifting case that happened at a Home Depot store in Norcross in September of 2023.
“During the incident, a store employee was assaulted while Demps allegedly attempted to steal power tools from a secure cabinet,” the sheriff’s office said. “The stolen items were later pawned for approximately $80.”
