‘No checks and balances’: Metro Atlanta mom seeks accountability for court-appointed child advocates

ATLANTA — A contentious divorce can be painful for everyone involved. But some Georgia parents say the court-appointed guardians ad litem meant to provide a neutral voice for children are instead adding to the conflict — and in some cases, shaping custody outcomes with little accountability.
