An Atlanta-area Kentucky Fried Chicken is housed in what’s called “The Big Chicken,” a massive 56-foot-tall chicken shaped structure with eyes that roll in circles as well as a beak that opens and closes. Here’s what we know:

Where is the Big Chicken KFC?

The Big Chicken is in Marietta at 12 Cobb Pkwy North. It’s about 18 miles north-west of downtown Atlanta.

How old is the Big Chicken KFC?

Since then, the Big Chicken has faced being taken down by corporate rebranding and storm damage. But the community’s love for it and its popularity with tourists kept it alive, leading to a $2 million renovation in 2017.

Does the Big Chicken KFC have a gift shop?

There is a small selection of souvenirs you can buy at the Big Chicken including t-shirts. You can find even more at the Marietta History Center, where they have sold everything from Christmas ornaments and mugs to post cards and stuffed animals.
